St. Elisabeth′s Cathedral
One of the top tourist landmark in Kosice provides the picture of the city′s patron St. Elisabeth in the furthest east western style of Gothic cathedral in Europe. Urban′s Tower
Located in the city center next to the St. Elisabeth Cathedral in Hlavna street it is unique with its lapidarian – gravestones. 45 m high tower was originally designed as a bell tower of St. Elisabeth’s Cathedral. The small platform in front of this tower is used for local promotional actions and social gatherings.
St. Michael′s Chapel
The Gothic monument in neighborhood of well- known St. Elisabeth Cathedral was built up in 14 th century and served as an old cemetery chapel. At present time provides the venue for wedding ceremonies and occasional performances.
The Jakab Palace
The mansion was named after its builder and served as a private residence of Jakab′s family. Later was passed into the city ownership. In 1945 became a temporary seat of Czechoslovak president Eduard Benes. Located at the corner of Mlynska and Stefanikova street will attracts your attention during your walk from the railway station.
The Plague Column – Immaculata
This monument was built up after devasting epidemic in 1709-1710 as a gratitude of citizens who survived. The column was rose up to the height of 14 meters. The whole work is typical Baroque style and belongs to the regular places of interest. You cannot miss it walking down the pedestrian zone in the city center.
The East Slovakian Museum
Located on Peace Marathon Square nearby the statue of Marathon Runner with the names of all winners inscribed on it. The museum boasts with the collection of Ancient coins called “Kosice golden treasure”. The collection contains more than half and million items.
Sandor Marai Sculpture
The statue of the most famous local of Kosice and the world acknowledged author of literary works is situated in Zbrojnicna street only a few meters from the busier Main street. The sitting Sandor creates the charming scenery in the hidden corner inviting you to stop and enjoy the atmosphere.
Executioner’s Bastion – Rodosto
One of the places where you can see the medieval fortification of Kosice and entrance point to the city at the same time is the bastion. The copy of Turkish house was home of the last leader of Anti-Habsburg uprising Francis II. Rakoczi.

Viewpoint tower
Viewpoint tower is situated in the northern part of Kosice on Hradova hill. After 99 steps up the stairs you can enjoy spectacular panorama of the city. Spisske Podhradie
The town of Spisske Podhradie is rich in cultural-historical monuments. Since 1993 the town is enrolled in UNESCO world´s cultural and natural heritage list. The most popular building in this area is a three-aisled St. Martin´s Cathedral built in 1245 – 1275 in Romanesque style.
SPIS Castle
One of the biggest castle complexes with vast fortification is crowning on a travertine hill. This four-hectare site, connected by stony pathways and stairs includes views from the 22m-high tower, and a museum of medieval history within the former palace.

Slovak Paradise

Andy Warhol Museum
Pop-art pioneer and provocateur Andy Warhol (1928–87) would perhaps have wryly approved of Slovakia’s peculiar museum in his name. The gallery dominates the eastern town of Medzilaborce, where Warhol’s parents grew up. Photographs and newspaper clippings detail the lives of the Warhols, but the art is much more interesting. Alongside Warhol originals are temporary exhibitions of present-day artists.

Kežmarok

Stara Lubovna Castle
A large stone castle built in the 14th century to protect trade routes to Poland was an important administrative center, as well as a shelter for the Polish crown jewels. Visitors can find Baroque, Renaissance and Gothic styles all over. Walks through the palaces, bastions, courtyards, gates and passsages and views from the tower are enchanting. The castle is full of historical furniture, collections of arms, crown jewels, vaulted cellars, rare carriages and interesting rooms and expositions.

Wooden churches of the Slovak part of Carpathian Mountain Area
The wooden churches represent one of the best examples of European wooden religious architecture from the late Middle Ages to the end of 18th century. Visit the churches of Eastern rite in Bodruzal, Ladomirova and Ruska Bystra.
Ochtinska Aragonite Cave
Listed as an UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site and one-of-a-kind in Central Europe, Ochtinska cave boasts a unique aragonite decorations.
Three generations of aragonite were discovered in the cave. The oldest is 138 thousand years old! Aragonite decoration in the shape of needles, tufts, branches, spirals, tips, sun and countless other forms was created by the activity of atmospheric waters in crystalline limestones of white and blue-gray color.
The tour is 300 m long and lasts half an hour.

Manor House Betliar mansion was built in the 15th century held by famous noble Bebek and Andrassy family invites us to admire unique original library from the 18th century and many other art collections. Interior of the manor house is very romantic and luxurious. There are numerous paintings, decorations, souvenirs from hunts and abroad travels (for example an Egyptian mummy or samurai’s armature), collection of hunting rifles, combat weaponry and many hunting trophies.

Cave Silická ľadnica
One of the most outstanding natural sights of the Silická plain in Slovak Karst. It is located on Silická plain, 2 kilometers to the west from the village Silica. The entrance-mouth of the corrosive-tumbling abyss is 503 meters above sea level. The descent, mostly horizontal parts, was developed by the Black Creek (Čierny potok) underground stream.

Hrhovský Waterfall is about 15 meters high travertine waterfall powered by a spring Féj.
